The History of Shutters
The origin of the shops are likely to have come from ancient Greece. They were originally made of marble and are designed to provide controlled lighting, ventilation and protection. They were invented to the interior of the houses to be protected in times of extreme heat, but could also be used, from the cold in winter, and thunderstorms to protect. They could be closed, bolted closed, especially in the evening hours. This was invented glass and shutters are a permanent, longdurable and easy to maintain.
Over time, more and more spread wider shutters located in the Mediterranean and elsewhere in Europe. An important development in the future of the stores was the use of wood. To begin with simple wooden shutters were solid boards, which could be opened and closed. Finally shutters with slats was achieved, ie, they could adapt in order to be hired in the right amount of heat, light or ventilation. This would not have been possible with a material such asMarble, but with the lighter wood this alternative soon be the norm. In England, the Georgians, the first houses that were already in the installation of blinds new design. This idea has been exported to America, especially in the south and west. In Victorian times there was another important development with shutters. Previously always had shutters on the inside of homes but this changed and exterior shutter became popular. The reason was the increase in the production ofWooden houses. Stone houses previously had deep significance exterior window shutters were not an option because they will not be achieved from within. With wooden houses, this was not the case, which means exterior shutter has become very popular.
Finally, stained glass windows were invented. In the early days of glass, they were too expensive for most, that is, the upper class were the only ones to make the stained glass windows. A common feature was for the upper half of the window have room for aGlass installed and have the lower half of the traditional shops. Finally, glass was expensive and therefore popular with the masses.
These days the use of blinds, for practical reasons is rare. Are you are still widespread in some areas when used for decorative purposes. Stained glass window and took over almost all the houses they have. Many still like to look at whether the shutter, shutters, and use (both inside and outside) with glass.
